On the 28th February 2020 it was publicly announced that Colonia, who have provided residential sales and lettings services for many years, had been acquired by Mount & Minster and merged the staff from both offices centrally into Mount & Minster's flagship offices by Lincoln Cathedral.

This important and significant transition ensures that not only Colonia's long-standing and valued clients continue to be looked after by the same personal and competent team, but also that any new and future clients can benefit from the same professional standards expected of such a highly-respected, independent company as Mount & Minster.

The majority of the staff from Colonia have remained and are pleased to now be working with the larger team at Mount & Minster under their brand.
James Ward, Partner and head of the Lincoln office comments: "We are very excited about this next chapter for the firm and look forward to providing the same high quality professional service for clients, new and old, with the core of the Colonia staff embedded in our ranks. We recognise that with the new team’s extensive experience over many years with Colonia, combined with Mount & Minster's professional RICS status and with all the senior staff being Chartered, this larger and more dynamic team can better service our ever expanding client base."
Ralph Wyrley-Birch, Managing Partner, comments: "This has come at an excellent time for the Mount & Minster family as we continue to develop and become one of the largest and fastest growing real estate companies in the East Midlands. We have been approached by many companies over the last couple of years seeking to become part of our growing business, however we have always retained a reputation of delivering a personal and professional service to our clients. We have found most companies fail to live up to this culture and are therefore unsuitable to be part of our brand. However, in Colonia we recognised that Kelly and Steve Tasker have over many years provided a friendly and warm service that compliments our own and it is this culture that will remain for the foreseeable future."
